Connor Cup Series Completed; HOPS, West Houston, Thunder WPC Take Honors

This past weekend’s Dallas Fall Invite represented the final event for the Connor Cup Series for 2014. The Connor Cup is awarded each year to a Men’s team and a Women’s team based on participation and results at five annual events in the Southwest Zone. In the Open Division, HOPS retained the Cup with a 6 point margin over Thunder Water Polo (34 to 28), Dallas Water Polo Club finished 3rd. In the Women’s Division, West Houston Water Polo also retained their victory from 2013 with Thunder Water Polo placing second (38 to 25), and Austin Water Polo Club finishing 3rd. The Connor Cup Age Group Award, new in 2014, completed earlier this Fall with Thunder Water Polo placing 1st, West Houston WP placing 2nd, and Longhorn Aquatics placing 3rd.
