The USA Water Polo Dare to Dream – Texas Festival Registration Deadline has been extended to Friday, January 10th and the Final Roster Deadline extended to Monday, January 13th. The Dare to Dream – Texas Festival is on Saturday-Sunday, January 18-19, 2020 at the new Lamar High School pool. The Age as of Date for all divisions will be August 1, 2019 which should increase the number of eligible athletes and hopefully increase the number of teams entered into the tournament. There will be at least 4-5 teams in the 10U Mixed and 12U Girls Divisions (these divisions will play 5 on 5 with 4 x field players, 1 goalie). For the 12U Mixed Division, there should be 8-12 teams entered into the event. Awards will be given out to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division. The Dare to Dream – Texas Festival is designed to be a fun, developmental tournament, and the event should be a great experience for all involved. Dates:  Saturday, January 18th – Sunday, January 19th

  • Location:  Lamar High School Natatorium, 3325 Westheimer, Houston, TX  77098 (brand new indoor pool)
  • Divisions:  12U Mixed, 12U Girls, 10U Mixed (12U Girls and 10U Mixed will be 5 on 5 – 4 x field players, 1 goalie)
  • Age as of Date:  August 1, 2019
  • Entry Fee: $300 per team. Payments will be collected when completing the online registration.
  • Registration Deadline (UPDATED):  Friday, January 10, 2020 at 9pm (PT).

  • Roster Lockdown (UPDATED):  Monday, January 13, 2020 at 9pm (PT).  No changes will be permitted after the roster lockdown.
  • Tournament Details:
    • Age as of Date:  August 1, 2019
    • Bronze level membership and birth date verification is required for all athletes
    • There is no club affiliation rule for this national event
    • There is no qualification required for this tournament
    • Teams will play no more than 3 games per day
    • Athletes can only play for one team in a single division (athletes can play in multiple divisions)
    • 12U Girls and 10U Mixed will play 5 on 5 (4 x field players, 1 goalie)
    • NEW 10U Playing Rules for 2020 Dare to Dream – Texas Festival:
      • 5 on 5 (4 field players, 1 goalie)
      • 12 minute running halves
      • 9 athlete roster limit
      • 3 minute half time
      • 15 yard course length
      • Smaller Goals/Balls
