Southwest Zone events updates: SWZ NJO Quals, ODP Regional Champs, Welcome to Texas Shootout, etc.

The Southwest Zone NJO Quals will be locally hosted by CFWPC on June 11-13 in Northwest Houston with the primary pool location being the CFISD Natatorium. More specific info will be sent in April about the SWZ NJO Quals/USAWP National Junior Olympics. Additionally, the USAWP ODP Regional Champs will be located in San Antonio at the NISD Swim Center over Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31, 2021. Also, the Welcome to Texas Shootout has been moved to Labor Day Weekend, September 4-6, 2021 (moving back to Memorial Day Weekend in Spring 2022).

Below are the updated April-July USAWP sanctioned events currently on the Southwest Zone Calendar. Please contact the local hosts directly for more info on each individual event (SWZ Club Contact List). Hopefully, this list of upcoming tournaments/game days will allow clubs to better plan moving forward. If your club has any events, Game Days, etc. that need to be added/updated to the Southwest Zone Calendar or changes/additions to the SWZ Club Contact List, please email joelinehan@usawaterpolo.org.

  • Saturday-Sunday, March 27-28: Thunder Spring Invite at the LISD Eastside Aquatic Center (hosted by Thunder Water Polo, 14U Boys, 14U Girls, 12U Mixed)
  • Sunday, April 11: SWZ ODP Clinic – North Texas at the LISD Eastside Aquatic Center (hosted by SWZ ODP, All Athletes/Age Groups)
  • Sunday, April 18: SWZ ODP Clinic – Houston at the CFISD Natatorium in Northwest Houston (hosted by SWZ ODP, All Athletes/Age Groups)
  • Sunday, April 18: North Texas Spring Game Day at the LISD Eastside Aquatic Center (hosted by Mavericks Water Polo, 14U/12U Athletes)
  • Saturday-Sunday, April 24-25: TAGS Water Polo Champs at the at the Pearland Natatorium in South Houston (co-hosted by SWZ & Southside Water Polo, 8th/6th/4th Grade & Younger)
